Who is Ralph Schudel?

Ralph Schudel is a writer and photojournalist from Columbus, Ohio.

 

His post-secondary studies placed an emphasis on Journalism and Communications during his tenure at The Ohio State University and Franklin University.

 

During his time as a Buckeye, Schudel fell in love with writing and learned he had a passion for photography. 

Expanding on his educational background, Ralph launched his personal website in November 2016. He was hired by Vox Media in 2017 to cover the Columbus Crew for SB Nation's Massive Report

 

He also writes for International Soccer Network and Columbus Wired. Schudel was admitted as a member of the North American Soccer Reporters in the Spring of 2018. 

In addition to soccer, Ralph has experience covering Major League Lacrosse, Ohio State Football, Basketball, Hockey, and the PGA Tour. 

In the Fall of 2018, he signed on to join the athletic department at  Ohio Dominican University. Working with the women's soccer program as its Brand Manager. 

Following a successful stint with the women's soccer program, he was hired into the Sports Information office as an intern.

In the fall of 2020, he became the Graduate Assistant Sports Information Director at Ohio Dominican University where he remained in that position until June 2022. 

Following his departure from ODU, Schudel joined Columbus Academy to assist with Athletic Communications and Operations, expanding on a role he started in August 2021.

 

He also is a substitute teacher at the school. 

 

Schudel can be heard on the Massive Report podcast and his self-titled podcast "The Ralph Schudel Show."
