The Columbus Eagles begin its 2018 Women's Premier Soccer League (WPSL) campaign on May 12th. Columbus finished its preseason with an unblemished record thanks to a roster that boasts tremendous talent.

One player who makes an immediate contribution to the Eagles is former Wisconsin Badger Micaela Powers. The midfielder recently spoke with me about why she almost retired, her expectations for the season, and why she enjoys suiting up for the Eagles.
